Dollar General`s Plan For CBD

Dollar General’s plan for CBD

Dollar General has announced they will begin selling cannabidiol (CBD) products in select stores, starting with Tennessee and Kentucky. They plan to sell 20 different types of CBD products across 1,800 stores in those two states.

By 2020, stores in Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, and Vermont will also start selling these products.

According to Dollar General’s executive vice president and chief merchandising officer, Jason Reiser, “our decision to offer CBD products is based on customer interests or demands.”

Other stores have already cannabidiol extracts sold online, including CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Ultra Beauty, Urban Outfitters, and Whole Foods, so it seems natural that Dollar General is next in line.

With rising consumer responsibility and demand for quality hemp-derived products or other medications, there is concern over the quality that can be provided by these products. Likely as a preemptive measure, Dollar General will not sell any edible dietary supplements or tinctures. The planned products are topical cosmetics not intended for consumption.

These include creams, ointments, bath bombs, bath salts, and face masks, with prices ranging from $7 to $20. But even if these products were made to be consumed, CBD is non-psychoactive, so it would not get consumers high. Instead, it is predominantly used to treat pain relief health issues like chronic pain, multiple sclerosis, tuberous sclerosis complex, sleep disorders, blood pressure, neuropathic pain, and epilepsy symptoms in children, as well as anxiety disorders.

The World Health Organization states that “In humans, CBD exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential. … To date, there is no evidence of public health-related problems associated with the use of pure CBD.”

Why are big retailers entertaining CBD

Like any company or organization, making money is the main goal. However, a lot companies also want to do right by their consumers and help positively impact their lives.

Cannabidiol has become a hot topic recently due to all of the reported health benefits, which has led to significant news and media attention around the world. The reported effects of CBD have led to many people trying the wellness substance in order to see if the results are true.

This has led to large, medium, and small companies wanting to get involved with this wellness trend to capitalize on what is speculated to be a multiple billion-dollar industry.

Where to buy high-quality CBD products with lab reports?

This question is exactly why Mary Jane’s CBD Dispensary was started. One of the largest issues in the cannabis and CBD industry is the lack of regulations. This has created a wild west type scenario for the industry.

We kept hearing shocking stories of people receiving CBD products that had high amounts of THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol). The legal percentage amount is 0.3 THC from the definition of marijuana in the Controlled Substances Act for CBD-hemp products.

Additionally, there have been numerous reports of people receiving low-quality, untested, and even fake products.

Additionally, there have been numerous reports of people receiving low-quality, untested, and even fake products with adverse effects.

This was unacceptable to us. Of our safety concerns we originally started as a smoke shop, but after seeing all of the positive testimonials of people who had benefitted from credible, quality, and tested products, we knew we had to be apart of this wonderful industry.

With that in mind, we made it our priority to create Mary Jane’s CBD Dispensary branded products that are made with quality hemp and that are lab tested to preclinical evidence ensure user safety. We created multiple product categories to appeal to all the different types of cannabidiol users such as Mary Jane’s CBD oil, Mary Jane’s CBD flower, Mary Jane’s CBD edibles, and more.
