Though it’s not the biggest town around there are plenty of reasons to visit Bloomingdale and we’re excited for you to experience them! One thing that sets this place apart from other towns? It has close proximity to Atlanta and Athens making both cities only 45 minutes away by car. And if all-you-can eat sushi isn’t your speed but hiking trails through nature sound more like what you’re looking for then come on down because Bloomingdale also offers great outdoor activities too! Residents are also able to enjoy a rich spiritual life at the following houses of worship:

 

Bloomingdale Alliance Church of the Christian and Missionary Alliance is a church that believes in Jesus Christ, with an emphasis on evangelizing disciples for His ministry. Bloomingdale’s mission is to make disciples who are equipped with participation skills within their community as well as beyond it. They do this by ministering to all individuals at every age level through teaching from scripture along sound foundations rooted in Christianity.

It is a place where Christ followers can find healing, restorative care and encouragement.

The church’s purpose is to create an atmosphere that will help individuals grow in their faith through Bible study groups for all age levels as well as Sunday worship services. 

Piney Grove Church is a Methodist church located in Bloomingdale, Georgia. It is the oldest continuously active congregation within the city limits and serves as one of the few remaining examples of antebellum architecture in town. The building was constructed in 1854 by William Dyer, a carpenter who was also responsible for building many homes around this time period.

New Hampstead High School is a public secondary school in Bloomingdale, Georgia. It serves grades 9-12 for the Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools and ranks 308th within Georgia. Students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement® coursework and exams. The AP® participation rate at New Hampstead High School is lower than most schools but those who do participate can experience success if they are determined enough due to their ranking among other high schools. 

They also offer opportunities such as scholarships which make paying tuition much easier on both students’ families or themselves because 45% of them come from an economically disadvantaged background!

 

Bloomingdale Elementary School is a school located in Bloomingdale, Georgia. The school was founded in 1887 when the town of Bloomingdale was established. With two tennis courts, pavilions, and jogging track to go with your round on the green; Tom Triplett community offers so much more than just leisurely strolls through nature’s beauty!

Tom Triplett Park is a great place for families to have fun. There are two playgrounds, two ball fields and tennis courts, horseshoe pits and picnic areas. The park also has fishing in the lake which makes it an ideal location for those who love to fish or just enjoy being outdoors. The park is open from sunrise until sunset so feel free to come during any time of day!

The L. Scott Stell Community Park is a park that Savannah locals like to keep for themselves as it has the best fields and fitness course in town! The large park is on the sparse southside of Savannah, but don’t let this fool you because they have an abundance of space with baseball, tennis and basketball courts too.

The L Scott’s Stell community offers some great spaces including amazing soccer or football playing fields which are available 24/7 so no matter what time a group or sports team needs to practice or play there will be room for them here without conflict from other’s schedules.

The Garden City Library in Savannah, Georgia is a public library that’s housed within the Live Oak Public Libraries. Inhabiting over 10 thousand square feet of space inside this grand facility are many opportunities for visitors to learn and explore their interests while making friends or participating in one of the scheduled programs such as story time with arts & crafts designed especially for children.
