The asheville botanical gardens are a non-profit botanic gardens located at 151W, which are also known as the Asheville Botanical Gardens. T. Boulevard Weaver, Asheville, North Carolina. There is free access to the gardens everyday, but donations are welcome. Asheville’s botanical gardens are situated on a 10 hectare stretch of land adjacent to Asheville University of North Carolina (UNCA), originally called botanical gardens. In the past four decades, the emerging beauty of the Gardens has been a result of hundreds of volunteers. Although the Botanical Gardens are on UNCA land, the University or the national, state or federal administrative funds do not receive any operating funds.

The Botanical Gardens are located just a few minutes away from the center of Asheville and are a great choice for people who want to walk through nature and do not want to spend time traveling. The Botanical Garden has a short path, a picnic area and a small river–the water is not safe to bathe, unfortunately. No entrance fee is required, but the maintenance support can always be left to you. Definitely recommend visiting! Wonderful seasonal plants & flowers. Better footpath. Nice limited hours gift shop, bathroom & spring drinking. Identification of plants plaques. Gorgeous creek. Great creek. Trekking, hanging out, playing frisbee, gazebo gathering, bird feeding, walking in the rivers.

A refreshing change of pace minutes from downtown. Find a peaceful oasis and dive into the natural flora and fauna. As you visit the water, listening to the birds chirping, bridges, and an apartment. Everything free! Make sure you go to the gift shop, donate or buy something to support this wonderful place for volunteers. The workers are very helpful and glad to talk. A great place to get to know the local plants. It’s a beautiful place! Ideal to watch birds or just listen. Trails for all types of walking or even hiking. Suggest hanging out for a little at a hanging bird feeder. Several different animals species all amazing to learn about.
