Brumby Hall and Gardens is an Australian garden located in the beautiful Australian countryside. It’s a great place to visit for anyone who loves flowers, gardens, or even just nature in general. The flower beds are vibrant with color whether it be from the many different types of plants or the hundreds of varieties of roses that are planted there. There is also a gorgeous lake where you can enjoy boating and sunbathing during your visit as well as plenty of shaded areas to escape from the heat if needed! Brumby Hall has been home to many weddings over its long history so it would make sense that they have a wedding venue on site that will accommodate any type of wedding style you’re looking for! 

THE GARDENS

The Knot Garden

The Knot Garden is one of the many gardens that you can find at Brumby Hall. It’s a beautiful place to walk through and admire the roses, while also being an important pollinator for other plants in this area. If you’re looking for something more natural than you might want to check out The Rock Garden where it is surrounded by rocks and offers some spectacular views!

The Perennial Garden

The Perennial Garden is a beautiful garden that also has some of the most interesting plants you’ll find. You can enjoy this place all year round as it’s home to many different flowering bulbs and shrubs which produce flowers throughout spring, summer, and autumn!

The Topiary Garden

The Topiary Garden is a great place to visit for those that want some solitude and peace. The garden has many different varieties of trees, bushes, and other plants which have been trimmed into various shapes so you’ll definitely need time to explore this one!

The Water Garden

The Water Garden is home to both the lake as well as fountains all throughout it. This area offers lots of walking paths along with benches for sitting down on or reading while enjoying your surroundings. It’s an amazing way to spend a summer day if you’re looking for something truly relaxing!

Brumby Hall also features beautiful gardens with flowering bulbs in winter, bursts of color from roses during spring and summer (more than 350 types), herbaceous borders filled with perennials year-round, dramatic topiary, and water gardens with fountains.

Brumby Hall is open Tuesday to Sunday (closed on Mondays) from 11am until dusk during the winter months of November through March, but they are open every day including Monday for at least one full hour in the summertime when it’s warmer out! The Gardens are free to enter but you’ll have to pay a small fee if you want to visit Brumby hall itself.

Events

There are always events happening at Brumby Hall and Gardens, from concerts to lectures. In 2018 alone there were more than a dozen musical performances–from Janis Ian’s Women in Song concert series to the annual Christmas Concert with special guest artist Sandi Patty; public readings by local authors such as novelist Michael Malone (A Light That Never Goes Out) and columnist Ron Howard (Southern Lady); the installation of our new outdoor sculpture garden; classes led by visiting artists on topics like calligraphy, watercolor painting, and mosaics; archery instruction sessions for teens; cooking demonstrations featuring recipes prepared from historic cookbooks found in the library archives.

The gardens also host an ever-changing array of seasonal activities that include annual flower shows, the annual Craft Fair (which will be held for two days this year on March 17 and 18), a family-friendly Oktoberfest event with live music performances, pumpkin carving demonstrations, and more.
