Living in Bulverde

If you’re looking for a great place to live, you should consider moving to Bulverde City, Texas. It’s a small city with a population of just over 4,000 people, and it’s located about 30 miles northeast of San Antonio. Bulverde City is known for its tranquil atmosphere and friendly residents. In addition, there are plenty of things to do in the area, including hiking, fishing, and golfing. So if you’re looking for a charming small town where you can enjoy a relaxed lifestyle, Bulverde City is definitely worth considering!

Residents are also able to enjoy a rich spiritual life at the following houses of worship:

Dr. Perry Webb served as interim pastor until Rev. John B. Witte was appointed to become the first pastor of BBC in March of 1974. The need for a permanent location became a problem as the church grew. The church was constituted as a Southern Baptist Church in October 1975, when it moved to its first permanent building and current site. The church has had many pastors and staff members throughout the years, but it has never lost sight of the missionary mindset that established the church in the first place.

Bulverde Baptist Church desires to continue doing the work and will of God in the Bulverde/Spring Branch community. Their history is little, but it is rich in what the Lord has done in and through the lives of their members and the surrounding community. Bulverde Baptist Church has a bright future ahead of it.

They are a Baptist church that works in partnership with the Southern Baptist Convention, Texas Baptists, and the San Antonio Baptist Association for missions and ministry in and around their city. You don’t have to be a Baptist to join them. Everyone is welcome!

The parish of Honey Creek’s St. Joseph Church is steeped in history and tradition. The first St. Joseph Catholic Church at Honey Creek, a log chapel, was dedicated with a Mass on August 20, 1876, marking the parish’s establishment. In 1878, a small rock chapel was built off of what is now Park Rd. 31 after the church burned down. Today, the old cemetery can still be found.

The first church in this location was built around 1892 and then, under the direction of Father Gerlach, it got remodeled to serve as a school for Sisters who run by the order until their closing in 1949. After 35 years serving his flock from that spot he passed away in 1933 leaving behind him not only an old but also a new frame building that now serves their community well both spiritually & culturally.

Their goal at Bracken Christian School is for every child who attends and graduates from the school to have their worldview developed and shaped by biblical truth. God made humans in His image. As God’s redeemed image-bearers, people have a responsibility to live lives worthy of that image. People  must learn to love God as well as the world (our neighbors) for which Christ died. They must effectively communicate the message of God’s grace and love to a culture hungry for answers.
