Things to Do in Country Lake

Residents and tourists to Country Lake will find a wide variety of exciting attractions to enjoy. Here’s a rundown of some of our favorites:

Kennesaw Mountain was the site of a major battle in 1864, part of Sherman’s March to Atlanta. It is now home to 2,965 acres worth of trails and historical monuments that have been preserved by the National Park Service since 1934. Visitors can explore both Confederate artillery positions as well as Union troop lines on their own or with guided tours from April through November each year.

The Kennesaw Battlefield Park features the famous Civil War battleground from the Atlanta Campaign. The park derives its name from a Cherokee Indian word meaning “cemetery” or “burial site.” On October 15th, 1966, it was designated as US historic district for future generations to learn about this conflict which took place during America’s civil war between 1861 and 1865 among eleven southern states that seceded to form their own government; these were South Carolina, Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, and Texas.

The historic earthworks, gun emplacements, and explanatory signage give visitors a unique perspective on the War of 1864. The open-air museum is only accessible during daylight hours for safety reasons to protect both employees and tourists alike.

West Cobb’s Sunday church services feature genuine live worship and effective Biblical teaching. To gain a sense of how the service works, scroll through their message archives to see what past sermons were like. Each sermon is around an hour long – so don’t come too late!

At West Cobb Church, the children’s ministry includes daily activities for toddlers and young students. It is recommended that you visit their website to find out more about each of these campuses’ schedules and locations because they vary by age group; however, it may be beneficial if your child can worship with you in order to familiarize him or her with the church environment.

They strongly value the safety of your child. All fifth graders and younger use a secure sticker system to check in where you’re given a code that only you can use to pick up your child; volunteers must also pass thorough background checks before working with children at the church.

Cheatham Hill Baptist Church, situated in Marietta, Georgia, is a God-fearing, Bible-believing Southern Baptist congregation. Since 1967, Hollydale Elementary has been educating children in its hearts and minds. They foster the development of these students by enriching their lives with knowledge through our caring teachers for a better future. Many of the leaders in their community went to this school when they were kids! This is the kind of school that produces leaders.

The students here are really smart and it’s no surprise, considering they’re surrounded by all these famous historical figures! If you could hear what that building would say, it would convey many changes that have occurred over the years. It’s always been there, but now it stands for something different to everyone who has visited it as well as traditions passed down through each generation since opening 50 years ago. They just celebrated a great anniversary where they got to see how many students go on to become successful businessmen or women within their community!

Sweetwater Valley Library is located in Austell, Georgia, inside the historic City of Austell Threadmill Complex. This branch is a tiny local library located on the first-floor corridor.

The Austell Woman’s Club was founded in 1913, with a circulating library as one of its initial objectives. The club offices were erected in 1922 and the library moved to it from a log cabin on Front Street where they had been since 1950. Sweetwater Valley Public Library became part of the Cobb Marietta Library System before moving into their new facility that same year, 1966. In 1997 after being renovated for years without any major changes until then, this branch received updated carpeting, shelving units, and paint job during another renovation period lasting nearly three months earlier that summer which is not too bad considering how old these libraries are if you think about it!

Many historic buildings in the city of Austell have been converted into office and government space, but 3,000 square feet was set aside for a library at the old Thread Mill complex. In 2003, this building started serving as home to Sweetwater Valley Library where it is now close to many local community members.

The Kemp Memorial Library opened on October 20, 1989, in the Cobb County Public Libraries system. The building has a unique design that mixes open space with natural lighting and various sections to allow free movement between them. Its location near Harrison High School and Kennesaw Mountain High School makes it easy for students to access as well as allowing community members who walk by along sidewalks access easily too, thanks to its central location within West Cobb’s borders. Events like storytimes happen throughout the year at Kemp; there is always something going on!
