Lost Plantation Golf Club, an 18-hole, 6,800-yard, Par 72 layout designed by Joe Lee, is a true masterpiece. The densely forested holes on the front and back nines provide a one-of-a-kind experience that every golfer should enjoy.
On the outskirts of Savannah, Georgia is a historic golf club that has sat vacant for years. The Lost Plantation Golf Club (also known as Carvill Farms) was built in 1854 and closed its doors in 2005. Now it practically sits in ruins after years of neglect.
Carvill Farms actually looks like an abandoned 1920s villa estate. You can see how large it is when you consider the overgrown courtyard area at the front entrance (above). It’s also surrounded by miles of open fields with no sign of civilization around it…just trees and vegetation, making this place seem all the more desolate. But I must say that I find the moldering old home rather beautiful too, despite its dilapidated state.

Fairway Bistro
One of Rincon’s lesser-known pleasures is a lunch or dinner at the Fairway Bistro, which is located in the Clubhouse at 1 Clubhouse Dr. in Rincon. The dining room has a view of the first and tenth tee boxes.
All of their menu items are made to order and prepared exactly how you want them!
Even if you don’t golf, the Bistro is a great place to come out and relax, eat, and socialize.
Their porch is just outside the dining room and has additional seating for those who want to enjoy the scenic view and the outdoors. An overhang from the clubhouse and umbrella tables provide some shade while you socialize with friends.
