Memphis College of Art, in Memphis , Tennessee, was a small private art and design college. It is adjacent to the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art, in Overton Park. It faces substantial financial difficulties and is in the closing process; it no longer accepts new students.

The Memphis College of Art is committed to teaching visual art and design practice, context, and understanding, while encouraging all students to achieve their highest individual potential. We train students for success in their professions and through innovation change the world. A 10-to-1 student / faculty ratio ensures ample personal contact with teachers, offering hands-on instruction and encouragement, cultivating creativity and inspiring students to take creative risks as artists to develop.

The comprehensive curriculum of MCA is aligned with Clinical Experiences, a dynamic classroom and experience program that improves business and entrepreneurial skills. Group youth and adult education programs are offered year-round including a Summer Art Camp accredited to children and young artists of all ages by the American Camp Association. In addition, the college provides free exhibits of galleries and artist lectures which are open to the public throughout the year. Set in Overton Park — a lush 342-acre Midtown Memphis park that also includes the Memphis Brooks Museum, Memphis Zoo, and Levitt Shell — MCA is a special, generative place where artists flourish. The college celebrated 80 years of operation in 2016, and is poised for many more years of making art work.
