One of the most beautiful courses in California, Mission Del Lago Golf Course offers a rich history and links-style play. It has been described as a British-style links style given the flatter, rolling land resembles original courses found in England and Scotland. It was designed by Denis Griffiths who is an American golf architect but also one of only three architects to design a course within St Andrews, Scotland. With large greens with long views along tree-lined fairways come multiple bunkers on this link style making it challenging for every type of player.

Mission Del Lago Golf Course is one of San Antonio’s six municipal courses, and perhaps the toughest. Playing a mean 7,208 yards from the tips with 10 water holes that are sure to challenge you! There are also stiff winds off Lake Mitchell which make this course even more difficult. The clubhouse has some charm though – it has an old Texas mission look with lush fairways but watch out for those greens because they roll true! The 6th hole is the most difficult. The green slopes severely and it’s 435 yards long- not short by any means. It doglegs left, so accuracy is key to avoid trouble on either side of the fairway. No matter which tee box you’re at or how far back your ball lies in relation to the pin, there are out-of-bounds that will make this a challenging shot for even experienced golfers like yourself.

The back of the course, No. 16 is a long par 3 with water behind it and only accessible by woods if you’re too strong. It’s rivaled as the signature hole on this side just like 18th which measures to be one of longest holes but has an amazing view from its green that faces up a steep hill towards trees above all while being protected by huge bunkers surrounding it.
