CHRIST COMMUNITY CHURCH is a Memphis non-denominational church dedicated to the Gospel of Jesus in order to restore everything. The church started in 2013 with only A HANDFUL OF PEOPLE. The Cathedral, as it is known so affectionately, was founded in 2012 by the Overseer Darnell Gooch, Jr., as a supportive Egalitarian and multi-racial Progressionist Pentecostal Church. It has expanded to more than 300 members since its inception. The cathedral is a safe haven where the Holy Spirit empowers every person irrespective of their race, ethnicity, nationality, sex, class or history. The cathedral acts like a Christian Church full of devotion, strength and development, guided by its shepherd. The goal is to transform the culture of Memphis.

The founders and senior pastors of The Life Church are John and Leslie Siebeling. In 1996 they returned to America after serving as missionaries for three years in Kenya, Africa, with a vision for a new, life-giving church.
