The parish of Our Lady of The Atonement Catholic Church, established in 1983 with the permission of Archbishop Patrick Flores, started with a few Episcopal Church converts. The parish added a school in 1994, The Atonement Academy, which has expanded to include a school of over 400 students from PreK3 through Grade 12.
In 2006, a new school addition was built to meet the needs of the increasing parish and the existing church was enlarged. In addition to the Upper School currently occupying a portion of the building, the magnificent complex across from the School and Church is the newest addition to the parish that, when completed, will include a gym, fine arts center, and meeting rooms for the community.
