This expanded park has 3 entry points all on Wilderness Oak, one behind Parman Library, and another behind Wilderness Oaks Elementary. Among small, medium and large dog breeds, there are three distinct divisions. Outstanding roads, all beautifully paved. They have a large dog park, picnic areas, and miles of fantastic trails running through the west side of Stone Oak / Blanco. The Parman Library or Wilderness Oak Elementary are easy to reach. It is a good place to go for a walk or jog, there is plenty of parking. The concrete path begins at Wilderness Oak and you can head to the library if you want. Plenty of benches for you to sit on when you feel tired from all the walking. The dog park has bark and your dog won't be filthy when you take it home.
There was plenty of room to run, and it is divided into a small space for small breeds and areas for all breeds. The dog park had some garbage cans throughout the entrance and some doggie bags.It has balls, tires, slides, and trick platforms installed around the park for play. Some benches for people to sit on are also included in the park, but they're pretty dirty and a little shade from the trees.
This dog park is very clean and looks very secure. There is always a police car to keep surveillance over in the parking lot. It's easily accessible and the Pooch area is double-gated, so if you want, you can let them run and have them play in the agility zone. There are also workout stations along the trails for their humans too. There are lovely paved roads, and unpaved ones as well.
This park, however, does not have a lot of water stations other than the fountain outside. You have to leave the first gate if your dog is thirsty and they can drink from the fountain instead. The park had plenty of empty water bowls around for visitors to refill with their drinks, but if the park had a water refill station for the bowls it would have been better. Not as shaded as plenty of other dog parks rendering it undesirable to go to during summer midday. The thing about the gate is a nuisance and when other dogs come in they will wait. But other than that it's a great park and no big drawbacks.
