San Antonio Parks & Recreation - Brooks Park

Brooks Park is a 47.63-acre place located on the boundary of Brooks City-Base near Mission San Juan Capistrano (formerly Brooks Air Force Base). It is a nice little park in the neighbourhood. The park has two central areas in between, with a hiking trail. Parking at both sites. In addition to a good park, there is a basketball court, football fields, and baseball diamond. No camping by overnight is required. There is no entry charge to the park. The park is open for day use activities 7 days a week all year round, from 5 AM to 11 PM. 

When you visit the park, you will see 4 large soccer goals and 20 small soccer goals and benches littered all over the park. The walking trail is 1.0 mi long.

You will observe that it is ADA accessible. There are grills, BBQ pits, fire ring, parking, pavilion, picnic tables, playgrounds, restrooms, and wildlife viewing area. You can do many things there like hiking, walking, picnicking, and wildlife watching.

County Park is managed by the San Antonio Parks & Recreation Department.

The Department of Parks and Recreation welcomes civic organizations, schools, clubs, Boy and Girl Scout troops and interested citizens who want to help clean, maintain and enhance our City Parks. They assist businesses and corporations in search of worker service projects. They are also working with large conventions visiting San Antonio, looking for opportunities for volunteers.
