Overview of Trinity University

Trinity University was established in 1869 as a private institution. It has total enrollees of 2,477 undergraduates, its environment is urban, and the size of the campus is 125 acres. Trinity University overlooks San Antonio downtown, home to the Alamo, four professional sports teams including the NBA Spurs, and over 175 city parks and recreation areas. San Antonio has 300 days of sunshine a year on average. Students can get interested from the Loon-E Hip-Hop Dance Crew to the Entrepreneurship Club in any of the more than 115 campus organizations. A vibrant Greek community at Trinity comprises about a fifth of the student body at the undergraduate level and is made up primarily of local chapters. Nearly 80 percent of students live on campus in one of the residence halls, and freshman and sophomore housing areas are allocated on campus. Within Division III, the Trinity Tigers participate and are known for their successful tennis program.

In addition to a bachelor's degree in music, a bachelor's degree in science and a bachelor's degree in humanities, Trinity also offers master's degrees in education, school administration and school psychology, and a master's degree in accounting and health care management. Undergraduates can choose from over 40 majors and must complete the Common Curriculum, a prerequisite for delivery to provide a well-rounded liberal arts education. More than 40% of students profit from studying abroad programs around the world.

Applying

When applying to Trinity University, it is important to note that the application deadline is Feb. 1. On the other hand, the early action deadline and the early decision deadline is Nov. 1. The ACT or SAT test scores are due Feb. 1. It is more selective, with a 34% acceptance rate and 64.8% early acceptance rate.

Academic Life

 

Trinity University's student-faculty ratio is 9:1, and the institution has less than 20 students in 61.7 percent of its classes. Trinity University's most common majors include: Accounting, Management, Marketing, and Related Support; Social Sciences; Biological and Biomedical Sciences; Foreign Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics; and Media, Journalism, and Related Programs.
