Wildwood Park
1050 Barclay Cir, Marietta, GA 30060, United States
Â
Marietta's Wildwood Park is a great place for walkers, trail runners, and our four-legged friends. Wide gravel pathways, smaller off-shoot trails, outside training stations, and an off-leash dog area are all available in this woodland park.
Go to Wildwood Park if you're searching for a calm area to spend some time with your dog. You'd think that with a location so close to South Cobb Drive, this park would be bursting at the seams with tourists, yet that couldn't be further from the reality.
Your dog can run around in one of two areas: one for tiny dogs and one for larger dogs in the family-friendly 28.11-acre Wildwood Dog Park located on the same grounds as the family-friendly Wildwood Park in Marietta, Georgia. Visitors praise the pure natural scenery and quiet ambience of this popular dog park. Two completely fenced runs are located on the property for all dogs to enjoy where they may romp, roughhouse, and play.
Both of Wildwood Dog Park's enclosures are designated off-leash zones, with the park's objective being to provide a safe environment for dogs to enjoy off-leash play. One of the play spaces has been designated specifically for small, elderly, and timid dogs.Â
Benches have also been put around this doggie play area, offering a tranquil backdrop for owners to rest and relax as their dogs run around and play. Poop bags are provided free of charge, and owners are encouraged to use them to clean up after their pets as required by Georgia law. Wildwood Dog Park does not have access to drinking water at this time. Fido's thirst should be quickly satiated, therefore owners should bring a bottle of water and a dog dish with them. At the family-friendly Wildwood Park, public restrooms are provided.Â
The Park is a free public dog park, and park authorities happily invite all dogs and their owners to attend. All of the necessities for a fun day at the park may be found in the runs. The grass-lined play areas are characterized as being wide and well-shaded.
When bringing dogs to Wildwood Dog Park, there are a few rules that must be followed. Dogs must be up to date on all immunizations and have a city license. Furthermore, tags must be visible on each dog's collar as confirmation of recent immunizations and a current dog license.
Passing through the green gates about a half-mile along the main loop will lead you to additional trails situated off park land. Life University and other offshoots can be found down this path. These trails are steep in places and can become extremely muddy after rain.
