Tom Triplett Community Park
Â
Discover Pooler's non-commercial aspect! A wonderful walking path around the lake can be found in this park. To one hand, you have a view of a wooded marshland. With a blend of deciduous and pine trees, this park makes you forget you're in the South. In the town, there is a plaque commemorating the origins of Sherman's march.
An 18-hole disc golf course at Tom Triplett Community Park draws disc golfers from all over coastal Georgia. The park is situated on Savannah's northern outskirts, making it easy for residents of Pooler. Tom Triplett Park has everything you need for a nice day outdoors, including several pavilions, two tennis courts, and a jogging track to complement the disc golf course.
There are some pavilions to choose from. The largest stands out as being new and well-kept. squash courts, and fitness stations are available on the premises.Â
A climate-controlled meeting center, two tennis courts, a 1.5-mile jogging track with exercise course, showers, disc golf and two fishing piers are among the park's amenities.
Parents should be mindful that the children's playground is not protected and is located within fifty feet of the pool, parking, and train tracks. It's a bit strange that the park's entrance and length are all made up of a rail line that is operational.
This is a fantastic outdoor space for getting some fitness and fresh air! On the fishing piers, people are attempting to capture trout, and the lake is stocked with fish.Â
Â
There is also a well-marked cycle trail just after the train tracks. While the wooded areas are not very dense, visitors may wish to venture off the beaten path. However, be cautious when exploring because a sign at one of the path's entry points alerts that there are alligators in the water.
The park's lake is surrounded by a 1.3-mile paved loop. It'd be ideal for kids or inexperienced bikers. One package is near a big building's children's play area and tennis courts. The others are on the opposite side of the parking lot.
This is a lovely park with breathtaking landscapes and plenty of opportunities to photograph nature.
