In Bexar County, just north of the San Antonio city boundary, Canyon Springs is a relatively new, fast-growing neighborhood. Specifically, along San Antonio’s development corridor, Canyon Springs is located north of highway 1604 and west of Hwy 281. Canyon Springs consists of 12 communities centered around the stunning and demanding Golf Course of Canyon Springs. Canyon Springs’ communities are clustered along a 2-mile stretch of Canyon Golf Road and are connected by common grounds and land. While in the San Antonio area there are only a few iconic communities that have the reputation that the Stone Oak area has, among them all, Canyon Springs definitely stands out.
Canyon Springs consists of many master-planned communities that, along with other facilities, share a park and a Junior Olympic-sized swimming pool, a tennis court, a basketball court, a pavilion and a playground area. These communities are all nestled amid rolling hills covered in live oaks in a valley. They are well designed and performed, organized and carefully managed down to the last detail — setting a new standard for generations to come. San Miguel, The Estates, The Trails, The Reserve, The Waters, The Ties, The Villas, The Coves, The Enclave, The Bluffs, The Boulders and The Summit are the communities that make up Canyon Springs.
The Canyon Springs Homeowners Association already has 1,345 properties, with just a handful of properties left to build on. The access to the Estates, Trails and Reserves is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, through a gate. Via a keypad or remote access gate, the entrance to San Miguel, The Waters, The Summit, The Ties, The Villas, The Boulders and The Coves. The entry to The Enclave and Bluffs will not be gated at this time. The Association, however, has a roving security patrol.

Within a few minutes of Canyon Springs, eighteen holes of world-class golf, a tennis court, a pool, a basketball court, a pavilion, shopping, a supermarket, a grocery store, and many premium restaurants are all within easy reach.

Young people from Canyon Springs have the chance to attend either NEISD or Comal ISD schools. Students from Canyon Springs will attend the elementary schools of Kinder Ranch, Specht, or Tuscany Heights. Barbara Bush, Smithson Valley or Springs Branch Middle Schools, and Ronald Reagan, Smithson Valley High Schools, will be attended by older NEISD students.
