Whisper Path Cellars Winery

Business Office, 12123 Jones Maltsberger Rd, San Antonio, TX 78247, United States

Whisper Path Cellars is a family-owned and run winery founded in 2017 dedicated to the production of premium Texas wines from 100% Texas grapes. Their first vintage, made with grapes from the Texas High Plains, was the 2017 harvest. Now, three years later, they are just finishing their forth harvest (2020). From the outset, their attention has been on the quality of wine, partnering with excellent grape growers throughout the state to obtain the finest available grapes. The findings were astounding, well beyond their most optimistic standards. The wines they make are the recipients of awards and the favourites of tasting rooms in the hill country. The biggest surprise, however, was the wonderful people they met in the Texas Wine Industry. From grape producers, winemakers to tasting rooms and Texas wine lovers like yourself, the people they've met and the new friends they've made have made them enjoy what they're doing even more.

Wines they offer:

2018 San Antonio Rosé

This coral colored blend is soft, medium-bodied and refreshing. The nose offers hints of passion fruit, strawberry and ripe plum. With medium plus acidity, the palate presents strawberry, ripe melon and notes of candied cranberry, followed by a silky and long finish.

2019 Viognier

Hand crafted and aged in stainless steel tanks, this wine is a balanced, easy-drinking wine with medium body and nice complexity. You may notice aromas of white peach, apricot and tangerine, along with a soft mouth feel. The palate presents notes of stone fruit and candied lemon, ending with a long silky-smooth finish.

2018 Roussanne

Silky, smooth, and rich best describe this straw-colored wine that pairs wonderfully with seafood and shellfish as well as roast chicken, pork, and veal. Very aromatic with notes of honeysuckle and apricot.

2018 Tempranillo

This wine gives you more of what Tempranillo wine lovers are looking for;black cherry, smoky earthiness. Give it a try.

2018 Montepulciano

The thick skin that is characteristic of this grape provides a beautifully deep colour. Combined with high acidity, mild tannin and moderate alcohol, this wine combines well with a wide range of foods, from savory meat to pizza.
