The church believes that the Lord Jesus personally commanded baptism and the Lord’s Supper, with baptism serving as a sign of admission into the body of Christ and the Lord’s Supper serving as a regular reminder of Christ’s death, resurrection, and return. The believer’s death to sin and new life in Christ is symbolized by baptism. Baptism takes place in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They are God’s guarantee to us, divinely appointed means of grace, our public vows of allegiance to the once crucified and now risen Christ, and anticipations of his return and the conclusion of all things all at the same time.
