If you know another location that should also be included in our list – or one that should be removed – please let us know!

1. The Taco Place

11395 Shaenfield Rd San Antonio, TX 78254

About: The best Birria restaurant in town. They bought a larger food truck to accommodate the larger crowds, and they gave us extra days to buy food. First and foremost. This food truck is frequently requested to attend various events in the San Antonio area. Fortunately, they are usually found in the Alamo Ranch neighborhood, near Oreilly Auto Parts. This is critical because if you use the mapping app on their Facebook page, you will be taken past their actual location.

The quesadilla is tasty, and you got a lot for your money. You have the option of getting beans on it for no extra charge. Some  would order the salsa on the side to get a sense of the spice level first. Although it is not on their Yelp menu, they do serve horchata in a very large cup. Refreshing, with just enough cinnamon to make it not overpowering. The owners of this food truck are extremely friendly, and you can’t go wrong with any of their menu items.

3. Guerito’s Red Tacos

8701 FM1560, San Antonio, TX 78254, United States

About: Guerito’s Red Tacos is owned by a group of family members and a family friend who decided to launch the mobile kitchen two months ago, according to Meredith Avila, the wife of one of the co-owners. Jose Avila, Meredith’s husband Joe, Edgar Zuniga, Carlos Marquez, and Nicholas Hinojosa are the co-owners of the mobile business. Marquez owns three Birria-focused restaurants in Los Angeles.

Meredith and Joe’s 16-month-old son, Braxton, inspired the name Guerito’s Red Tacos. They only serve birria meat. The food is outstanding. Everything, including the quesadilla, is delicious and packed with meat and cheese! Tacos are good, with a good amount of meat, and the Mulita is delicious. It was filling and delicious to have a corn tortilla filled with birria meat, onions, and cilantro and topped with another corn tortilla quesadilla style but without the cheese. The birria meat is  tender and flavorful, with a nice balance of meat and birria flavor. The aguas are visually stunning and taste just as delicious as they look.

4. Taquitos Mexico

7491 Grissom Rd, San Antonio, TX 78251, United States

About: Stop here if you’re on the go and looking for a good street taco! This taco truck is conveniently located next to an ice cream and fruit stand, making it an ideal pit stop. The tacos are served on a plate, making them ideal for eating on the go in your car. The tacos come with caramelized onions in the middle, so you can eat them on the side, add them to your tacos, or pick them off . The taco seasoning is fantastic; there’s plenty of flavor to go around. Raw diced onions and cilantro were sprinkled on top of the tacos. Cucumbers and limes are served on the side. Also, the charro beans come in a cup, making them easy to spoon into your mouth. They come with ham pieces mixed in, which adds a lot of flavor.

5. Ezekiel’s Tacos

13535 Babcock Rd, San Antonio, TX 78249, United States

About: Street tacos that are quick, good, and cheap, with business hours that extend into the early morning. They use non-greasy meat, unlike some other vendors in the area, so you get more flavor and it is easier on your stomach. The burritos are massive, and they don’t skimp on the meat! It’s delicious, and they give you a cup of beans for free while you wait.

6. El Paisano Mini Tacos

8603 Culebra Rd, San Antonio, TX 78251, United States

About: This taco truck is difficult to overlook; five stars for investing in their truck. It’s also pretty cool that they have buzzers that alert you when it’s time to pick up your food. It keeps you warm when it’s freezing outside!

Very reasonably priced. Tacos de asada to die for! The staff is pleasant. Usually, it is quick. It’s also a very secure location. Salsita is extremely hot! Food is always delicious, and their borracho beans are delicious as well.

The asada, pastor, chorizo and egg, and papas rancheras are delicious. Breakfast tacos are $2, and the rest are $2.50. 9. Ricky’s Tacos

6576 Babcock Rd, San Antonio, TX 78249, United States

About: The food is excellent, despite being slightly overpriced in comparison to other taco establishments. Asada is never dry and chewy, as it is at most taco stands and Pastor mini tacos  extremely flavorful.  Salsa is deliciously spicy and the chicken tastes exactly like it came straight from your mother’s grill at home. There is a lot of flavor and spice in the dish. If you’re looking for some delicious late-night mini tacos, this is the place to go! The only drawback is that you only get four tacos per order, and they are quite small! However, the flavor is incredible, and let’s not even get started on the salsa! Whoever makes the salsa should put it in a bottle and sell it on the side! However, whatever peppers and spices are used, it has just the right amount of heat and is delicious.

The line may become lengthy, and you may have to wait a short time for them. But believe me, it’s worth it. If you’re lucky enough to visit on a Saturday when they have hot beans, you must get a cup. They’re spicy and delicious!

12. Aye Que Rico

5615 Lone Star Pkwy, San Antonio, TX 78253, United States

About: Fans of the popular Ay Que Rico food truck will no longer have to keep track of where the restaurant on wheels will be next starting in September because it has found a permanent home.

Mike Gutierrez, the truck’s owner, says he’s partnered with an established patio-style bar where the truck will be parked, giving his customers the opportunity to sit and eat their award-winning loaded grilled cheese sandwiches and “monster” quesadillas while listening to live music and, eventually, drinking alcohol. Gutierrez is keeping the location a secret for the time being, but he did hint that it will be near San Antonio College, near San Pedro and Hildebrand avenues.
