When the company closed in 1982, Andrew took a chance and opened A&R Barbeque to provide for his family. He opened as a fast food take-out restaurant in 1983. When the business first opened, it only had a limited menu of barbeque and hamburgers, and it only served walk-in customers. As the market shifted to dining-in, the restaurant grew. It can accommodate 75-80 people in its seating room. Now it is offering consumers the option of dining in or catering. Andrew is an expert at cooking meat cuts, grinding them to perfection, and smoking them over an open flame. He’s a fantastic cook who uses his inventive secret sauces and recipes to grow his brand.
