With adult vapers left in the lurch by the federal ban on flavored pods and most cartridges, vaping device are incredibly popular, but they are devices that are only used once. Vapers enjoy their form factor and comfort, lending themselves to the big question-can most popular disposable vapes be refilled with Vape Juices?

Three factors depend on the number of puffs you get from a disposable: ejuice energy, resistance/power out of the coil, and battery life. We are looking at a classic stick type disposable in the case of a Puff Bar, which is practically similar to a large number of its rivals.

Keeping 1.3ml of e liquid, the Puff Bar has a 280mAh battery capacity. The amount of puffs you get depends on the duration of your average inhalation. The longer the drag, the less total puffs you will get, although it will be the same amount of e juice consumed.

How to refill a Puff Bar

It is pretty easy to refill a Puff Bar, but it takes a little elbow grease. Refilling a Puff Bar is not recommended because it really makes no sense and is not intended for opening. You would probably need at least a paper clip and maybe a small screwdriver to pop up and start the process from the mouthpiece.

Why not put it into a device that is supposed to be filled or obtain a new disposable if you have ejuice on hand. As the ejuice is contained in cotton polyfill and not a pod, it can also be a little messy.

In order to get to the juice tank, there are a few baffles and seals in place that must be removed. Removing the small, black plastic mouthpiece is the first move. This is not super easy, but it can be done. A piece of cotton is underneath the mouthpiece and a second white silicone dam. This piece is pushed into the airflow tube directly, directing vapor into the lungs of your mouth.

Remove the white silicone piece by pressing it with a paperclip on one end to turn up high enough to grasp the other hand. You may easily drip nic salts on to the polyfill until this piece is removed. As it keeps the nic salts in place, the act of removing this inner silicone blocker has the potential to produce a mess.

Make sure you stop dripping e juice down the center tube while filling a puff bar. This is the tube of airflow and from everything that falls into this, you can get spitback and leakage.

You have to make sure that the tube-like attachment on the silicone stopper is fit back into the central airflow tube that runs down the center of the disposable while reassembling disposable e-cig. Otherwise, it will not operate on the computer. To trigger the autodraw, it needs airflow.

When removing the components of the Puff Bar, this center airflow tube appears to get knocked off-center and has to be re-centered.

Why refill a Puff Bar?

There’s just no need for the Puff Bar to be refilled. The Puff Bars can not be recharged, unlike a pre-filled vape pod pack. So you’re taking a gamble to fill it with ejuice that you’re not going to have a way to remove.

There are also other caveats. It could get messy, as described above. The ejuice in a Puff Bar is stored in a cotton polyfill block, just like all stick disposables. This is perfect for flavor, but it is not a tank that is sealed. Most of the juice is saturated in the cotton, but there is a reason why many plastic seals and buffers are in place to prevent the ejuice from escaping out of the piece of the mouth.

In addition to popular disposable vapes that are not meant to be opened, wasting ejuice is another possibility. It is very likely that the disposable will be filled and the battery will die promptly. Just before the ejuice supply has been drained, it is not uncommon for the batteries on disposables to desert the ghost. With no way to recharge the disposable, once it is vaporized, any e-juice dripped into it is almost trapped there.
