The San Antonio River Walk (also recognized as Paseo Del Río or generally as The River Walk) is a city park and an array of walkways along the banks of the San Antonio River, one story under the San Antonio, Texas, United States streets. This takes about six days to drain and refill the water, which can be as shallow as two to three feet downtown. The next total draining is due to take place in 2020.

Similar efforts have been influenced by the River Walk in other cities, such as the Little Sugar Creek Greenway in Charlotte, North Carolina, the Cherry Creek Greenway in Denver, Colorado, the Bricktown Canal in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and the Santa Lucía Riverwalk in Mexico.

100 years ago, the planting of a cypress tree along the river created a small promontory which became known as Wedding Island. The location of the tree is allegedly positioned in front of Hotel Contessa, where Father Damian Massanet held a Catholic Mass in 1691, and the local artist Rolando Briseño was contracted in 1991 to create a sculpture that memorialized the original Mass. The city bills $200 for a 30-minute service, and annually there are about 225 weddings on the site.
