The town of Helotes TX offers shops, entertainment and wonderful restaurants in Helotes. The City of Helotes is surrounded by the beauty of the Texas Hill and a vibrant community that boasts a prosperous economy and high living standards.Helotes was incorporated as a General Law City type A, located just northwest of San Antonio in 1981. Since the nineteenth century Helotes, whose name derives from the Spanish word “elotes” or “corn-on – the-cob.” The City of San Antonio and Bandera once populated by Lipan Apaches, Tonkawas, and Comanches was initially a stop for the stagecoach. Helotes was an agricultural community for decades. In 1946, when the well-known John-T. Floore Country Store was opened, business and economic growth turned around. The dance hall is included in the National Historic Places Register and is a Texas Historic landmark which draws top musical talent. The City of Helotes is today a unique community that preserves the calm and family-oriented activity of its small town. Citizens remain committed to economic prosperity and balance the environmental awareness and the conservation of history and modern revitalisation. In 2013, Helotes was named the best town in Texas by the Bloomberg BusinessWeek to raise children. 

    A charming rustic spot to have good drinks, eat or catch friends up. The landscape is an ideal place to relax for a few hours. Dining Fun Shops Year of fun for all friends. Fun Shops. The first shopping and entertainment center of Helotes. This is a landscape, but still an elegant place, where you will find a lot of interesting things to see. A lot of people just stop eating or have a glass of wine. It’s just steps from John T Flores country shop, a great Helotes experience. This place is a little secret, so not too many people are coming here. It’s quiet and usually they have community events on the weekend that I enjoy. My favorite are the Art Walks on the first Friday market places and on the third Saturday of the month. A decent number of parking spots are available. The shops / shops are mainly local, which is great and check out the cute coffee shop for the first time.

So much needs to be done here. Like craft / art vendors-local artists have established themselves to sell beautiful and unique objects. Food vendors–Lemonade stands, food trucks, and more are available to sell the best of local food. Farmer’s market–the Farmer’s marketplace includes baked goods, salsa, honey and more. Marketplace Retail-Local firms advertise their services, including hair, laundry, treatment, insurance, etc!
